Fractions
Children learn to think of parts of a whole, or parts of a set, and then learn fractional representations.
Decimals
Children first understand fractions as parts of a whole or parts of a set and eventually connect fractions to decimals.
Geometry
Children learn about the properties and relationships of points, lines, angles, surfaces and solids, and to recognize shapes such as quadrilaterals.
Place value
Children learn about our base 10 number system and how to identify digits of numbers including the ones, tens, and hundreds places.
