Greater than and less than
Very young children have the ability to determine more than/less than visually with small sets of objects. Eventually, they can compare these sets using numbers and symbols such as <, > and =.

LeapFrog Editorial Review

Kids can motor on down to Radiator Springs and take their turn in the driver’s seat for racing games that teach a wide variety of letter and number skills. Racers choose their level and favorite Cars character, including Lightning McQueen, Mater, Flo and Ramone, and then put their driving skills to the test through desert canyons and speedways. During each themed game, players are challenged to jump obstacles and answer questions as they speed past virtual opponents. A diverse array of skills are taught, depending on the race chosen. Beginning players can learn letters, numbers and shape identification, while more seasoned “racers” will be asked to complete sequences, simple words, skip-count and more. After each race, kids can see how their “speed” compares to past rounds for additional incentive.

Whether it’s jumping tumbleweed in “Desert Derby”, cruising through a flash flood in “Whitewater Canyon”, bumping opposing cars in “Carburetor Cup” or racing through the night in “Tractor Tipper”, boys and girls will enjoy fast speeds while they learn essential skills and “light up” Radiator Springs!
