Surfs up! Join Kai-lan, Hoho, Rintoo and friends for fun and games at the beach in Leapster’s “Ni Hao, Kai-lan Beach Day” learning game. Players can enjoy three entertaining games that will challenge and develop their math, word, memory and logic skills. The “Beach Photos” game is a unique and fun way to teach sorting and classifying. Kids begin by touching an item in a small assortment that is different from the others. As players answer questions correctly, the requests get progressively more challenging, such as “find an animal with a claw” or “find something that you wear on your face.” Advanced players will also try to beat their previous time, making it compelling for kids to play again and again.
“Swim for It” lets kids “swim” no matter what the weather. Players choose a character and skillfully maneuver through the water to find numbers and collect “sun fuzzies,” as they race with a virtual friend. Matching and sorting is the focus of “Flip a Pail” which is similar to a shell game. Kids “lift” the pails to reveal letters, objects or words and find their match. Each of the games feature three levels of play to keep kids motivated to learn and achieve a new personal best.
