LeapFrog Editorial Review
Preschoolers love joining Dora the Explorer on her adventures! This one will be even more exciting when they use their LeapFrog® Tag™ Reader with the Dora Goes to School storybook. Dora reads the story aloud and leads kids through learning activities that teach letter and number recognition, as well as English and Spanish vocabulary. Kids can hear the correct pronunciations of Spanish words as Dora and Boots help Maestra Beatriz get to school on time. Colorful illustrations are packed with sound effects, such as a school bell, bus horn, bicycle bell and even some squawking condors.
Kids can put their skills to the test with learning activities at the end of the book. The “So Many Books” activity builds sequencing skills by asking kids to select images that represent the beginning, middle and end of a story or process. For example, an acorn comes first, a sprout comes next, and a tree is the end. Explorers can build their vocabulary by playing the “Field Trip to the Museum” activity and learn the names of things an archaeologist might find.
