LeapFrog Editorial Review

Kids can set out on a cross-country expedition and learn about all the splendor and diversity of our great country with the Tag Interactive United States Map. Kids use their Tag pen and the unique 20” x 35” double-side folding board map to bring the U.S. alive with sounds and play activities and games that teach map skills, geography, regional culture and much more. One side features a colorful map of the U.S. that details deserts, mountain ranges, forests, animals, food and other items from each state. Activities, such as “Let’s Explore,” guide youngsters from state to state by asking them to identify iconic pictures, a steamboat in Mississippi for example, and then take a trip to another related state, such as Minnesota, where the Mississippi River begins. Kids can learn about what kids in other states like to eat or do for fun by playing the “Kids Like Me!” game. For more advanced learners, the map’s flip-side features states, their capitals and more fun facts, along with multi-level games to keep kids engaged as they learn. The character “Compass Rose” is a handy reference as kids learn to distinguish between north, south, east and west. Kids earn rewards for playing that parents can help them access on LeapFrog Connect.
